I’m Ken Wilson and am running for re-election to be your state representative from the 12th District in Clay and Platte Counties. As a retired Chief of Police for Smithville, a pastor, a husband for 42 years, a father and a grandfather, I will represent you in Jefferson City, bringing the family values of our district straight to the House floor.
I will work to ensure small businesses, the backbone of our economy, can grow and thrive in an environment of reduced regulation and taxes. Across the nation, small businesses account for almost seven out of every ten jobs created. Small businesses are critical to our economy and critical to communities, and I want to make certain the 12th District of Missouri is a place where businesses can lead us back to a more stable economy.
Across the 12th District, we have local school districts that have been recognized for their strong academic performance and outstanding leadership. As your State Representative, I will work tirelessly to protect funding for our public schools so they can continue their extremely important work of educating future generations.
Agriculture has been a long-standing and important tradition in the 12th District. As your state representative, I want to ensure that our family farms are able to continue this tradition, providing for their own families and our communities.
My life has been dedicated to public service. I want to continue that service by representing you in the Missouri state House of Representatives. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions and I hope I can count on your support.
